Tuesday March 10, 7 – 8pm – “Exploring the Best Annuals for Midwest Gardens” presented byTimbuk Farms, Granville, Ohio (Columbus Store, Gustav & Bertha Reiner Education Center)

Wednesday March 11, 7 – 8pm – “Edibles for Everyone-It’s easy & enjoyable to include ornamental edibles into our landscapes” by Kate Wilson, Horticulturist, Oakland Nurseries (Columbus Store, Gustav & Bertha Reiner Education Center)

Thursday March 12, 7 – 8pm – “Planting for Pollinators” by Barb Bloetscher, Ohio Department of Agriculture, State Entolmologist & Apiarist (Columbus Store, Gustav & Bertha Reiner Education Center)

APRIL 18,  SATURDAY 10-11am: “Spring Pruning and Trimming” (FREE) Helpful and corrective pruning practices for healthy and happy hedges, trees, and shrubs! Plus we’ll discuss more complicated aspects, like topiary and fruit trees. (Taught by Kate W. of Oakland Nursery)

MAY 9, SATURDAY, 10-11am:  “Succulent Planter Workshop” ($35) Make a gift (or bring your mom!) for a build-your-own succulent planter workshop. Register at: Oakland Succulent Class

JUNE 13, SATURDAY 10-11am: “Native Plants are Great!” (FREE) Learn how plants native to Ohio are important to a awell balanced eco-system and can be used to create a beautiful, successul landscape. (Taught by Kate W. of Oakland Nursery.)

JULY 11, SATURDAY 10-11am:  “Interior Plants” (FREE) Houseplants bring beauty and oxygen into your home. Learn how to keep them healthy, happy, and looking great year round. (Taught by Evelyn C. of Oakland Interiorscapes)

 AUGUST 22, SATURDAY, 10-11am: “Rain Gardens Can Look Beautiful, Too!” (FREE) Rain Gardens are gaining popularity as a great way to keep rain run0off out of the rivers and in the ground…and they can be well designed to fit any landscape or look. Get tips and plant lists for how to do it right, and make it look great! (Taught by Kate W. of Oakland Nursery)

SEPTEMBER 27, SATURDAY 10-11: “Soil: The Building Block of a Great Garden” (FREE) To get a great garden, you need great soil. Learn about the make-up of our local soils, how to amend and improve soil, and tips for ensuring healthy plants. (Taught by Kate W. of Oakland Nursery.)
