Oakland HOME Store Furniture Mover and Associate
We are looking to add an associate to the team that can move furniture, unload products, hang heavy product, etc. Plus, you will be part of our team of associates that help with running the front end of the store, such as running a register, answering phones and transferring calls, receiving and product, welcoming customers and providing quality customer service. Please note, this is a physically demanding job position as it requires standing for long periods of time, lifting boxes, lifting and moving furniture, loading heavy product into customer's cars, and unloading incoming shipments.
The Oakland Nursery HOME Store is a growing division of a growing local company. We are looking to add a FULL TIME associate to the team that can move furniture, unload products, hang heavy product, etc. At the Oakland HOME Store, we specialize in home furnishings, home decor, and home styling. We are known for our unique furniture, home decor selections, outdoor patio product, as well as being a destination spot for customers to come and enjoy themselves.
Requirements/Job Description

If selected, you will be part of our team of associates that help us with running the front end of the store, such as running a register, answering phones and transferring calls, receiving product, pricing product, welcoming customers and providing quality customer service.
Please note, this is a physically demanding job position as it requires standing for long periods of time, lifting boxes, lifting and moving furniture, loading heavy product into customer's cars, and unloading incoming shipments.
You will also be helping move the outdoor patio product, such as concrete fountains, statuary, and garden accents.
We require that you:
- are physically able to lift boxes/heavy merchandise: require you can lift at least 70 pounds safely
- are able to help the display artists and other associates move product around the store, unload incoming product, and load product into customers' cars
- are able to help lift and move patio product, such as concrete fountains, statuary, and garden accents
- possess a strong work ethic
- can be a team player and work well with others
- can work 4-6 days a week, at least one weekend day per week
- provide quality customer service
- are willing to learn about our product and speak knowledgeably about it
*being able to work a forklift is desirable, but not required
